These type of fluff salads do not last long at my house. Actually, when they are brought to a Holiday gathering or a picnic they don't last long there either. This simple side dish recipe is so easy to make with only 3 ingredients that it is a must make many times throughout the year. Strawberry Fluff Salad is a keeper for sure.

We have a lot of Jello salad recipes here at Baking With Mom. The flavors in these salads are definite and the recipes simple. Recipes like Grape Jello Salad, Cherry Cheesecake Salad and Cherry Lemonade Jello Salad are so delicious.

    Ingredients

    • Strawberry Jello
    • Cool Whip - only use Cool Whip, do not use a store brand for this recipe.
    • Strawberries - fresh only, don't use frozen.

In the picture, I have a 6 oz box. The recipe does call for a 3 oz box. I only used half of the box pictured above. It is what I had in the cabinet!

    Tip

The more fresh the strawberries can be, the better. This salad is great in spring and summer. It can be made anytime, but it highlights in spring and summer.

    Overmixing

Take caution when mixing the strawberry Jello and the whipped cream. If you over mix, the whipped cream can get thin. Mix only until the Jello is incorporated into the whipped cream. A folding technique works well for this.

Then after the Jello is incorporated, fold in the strawberries.

    Chill

Let the strawberry fluff salad chill in the refrigerator for at least one hour. It can be eaten right away if needed, but I really recommend the wait. It helps the flavors to blend together properly.

    Storage

Store any leftovers in the fridge in an airtight container. It lasts about 48 hours in the refrigerator.

I can't rate the recipe as I haven't made this yet as I have a question regarding the ingredients. The written recipe calls for a 3 oz. package of Strawberry Jello. However, the picture you show of the ingredients shows the 'Family Size' which is 6 oz., as indicated on the box. Which is the correct amount?

My apologies... I was going to clarify that in the post, I'll update it. It is 3 oz. I only had a 6 oz box so I used half.
