Warm, soft and flavorful is the best way to describe these Homemade Crescent Rolls. They pair beautifully with most any recipe and can be made in your bread machine or stand mixer. These homemade rolls are perfect addition to any Holiday meal or anytime!
Light, fluffy and deliciously amazing, these Homemade Crescent Rolls are the perfect addition to any meal. They are also great for breakfast with some cinnamon butter. Also known as Butterhorns, to make them is easy. In fact, the bread machine does all of the work, except for rolling them out.
I like serving these rolls with Venison Roast, Taco Goulash and Crock Pot Cheeseburger Soup.

Bread machine verse stand mixer
A bread machine is the way to go because the machine does all the work. A stand mixer does as well, but the dough will have to rise twice. A bread machine does all of that for you, the rolls will only have to rise once after rolling them out.
Homemade Crescent Rolls instructions
To make these rolls, simply put all ingredients in the pan of the bread machine in the order that is listed below.
Tip
It is important to put all the ingredients in the correct order in a bread machine so the dough will mix properly.
The wet ingredients are usually first followed by dry with the yeast on top.
After the bread machine has mixed and let the dough rise, it usually takes about 1 ½ hours (depending on your machine). Then, the dough will be rolled out on a lightly floured surface and shaped.
Shaping the dough
The dough will need to be rolled into a circle then shaped into triangles. Sometimes, it works better if the dough is divided into two sections then rolled out. Either works, the smaller amount of dough is more manageable.
The dough is in triangles and when it is rolled up, start with the wider side and roll to the point so the point is on the outside of the roll.
Bake
Bake the crescent rolls at 375 degrees for 15 minutes or until lightly brown and roll is firm.
