    Ingredients

The ingredients are simple and this recipe comes together so easily!

    Popcorn choices

The choices for popcorn would be store bought, already made in a bag. I wouldn't recommend this but if you are in a pinch, go for it. There is also air popped popcorn if you have an air popper. This is a good option if you want to lower the calorie level down due to the popcorn being plain and no added butter or salt.

Microwave popcorn is what I used because it is what I had on hand and I also wanted the extra butter flavor and salt on it.

    Melting the marshmallows

    melted marshmallow.

The marshmallows are melted with the butter to help prevent sticking. Be sure to keep the heat on low to prevent burning. The marshmallow mixture will help the popcorn balls to stay together.

    Tips!

    • Be sure to put parchment or waxed paper down to prevent the popcorn marshmallow mixture from sticking.
    • Grease your hands with cooking spray to prevent the mixture from sticking to your hands while you are forming the S'mores popcorn balls. The balls can be made by taking a handful and shaping them into a ball, like you would if you were making something out of playdough.
    • Don't add the chocolate until you are forming the balls, otherwise the chocolate may melt with the warm marshmallow cream.
    • When the marshmallows are melted, be sure to let it cool enough to handle, but don't let it sit too long. You want the marshmallows to be able to pour over the popcorn so it will set up and hold together well.
