Chocolate chip bread on a brown cutting board.

This Chocolate Chip Bread recipe is a quick, easy bread to put together. The chocolate throughout the bread is rich and perfect compliment to the taste of the bread. Pack this bread in a lunch box, have for snack or enjoy for breakfast!

A simply easy bread recipe to make, this Chocolate Chip Bread is light and has just the right amount of sweet. My youngest son shared this bread with his lunch table at school and it got rave reviews. What is a better critic then a bunch of 12 year old's?

The chocolate throughout is any chocolate fan dream. Eating bread with chocolate? Yes please like this Chocolate Chip Pumpkin Bread or Christmas Bread. Of course, if you top this bread with Cinnamon Honey Butter that would be a great addition.

    Sour cream and vanilla pudding

Why sour cream? Well, the sour cream is excellent in baked goods as it make the recipe softer. The sour cream also adds a little tang to the bread which compliments the chocolate chips very well.

The vanilla pudding adds a texture to the bread and I feel makes it light and fluffy. The combination of the two makes a delicious and soft bread your family will enjoy!

    One bowl bread recipe

The chocolate chip bread recipe is made in one bowl, which makes for easy clean up. The eggs, sugar and sour cream will be mixed together first, then the dry ingredients and they will be mixed together well.

The chocolate chips will be folded into the batter, be sure not to over stir.

    FAQ

Can I leave out the vanilla pudding?

Yes you can. I feel it adds a great depth to this bread, but it is not necessary for the bread to turn out well.

When do I turn out the bread from the pan?

Let the bread cool on a wire rack for 5 minutes, then carefully turn out of the pan by loosening the sides with a knife. Don't wait too long or the bread will be hard to remove from the pan.
