    This easy 3 ingredient cinnamon honey butter recipe is perfect for all occasions and breads. It is simple to make and stores in the refrigerator so it is ready for you to use come dinnertime.

    This honey butter is perfect for Brown Sugar Blueberry Muffins (in the picture above), Bread Machine Dinner Rolls and Homemade Crescent Rolls. It adds just the right amount of flavor.

    Ingredients

    • butter - real butter is best for this recipe. Salted or unsalted can be used.

    What honey to use

    The best type of honey is from a beekeeper. The honey is fresh and full of flavor. All seasons of honey works, from spring, summer or fall. Though the fresh fall honey may have what is called goldenrod in it, which can be a bitter taste. (I feel it tastes like feet!)

    Store bought honey works well too, of course, but fresh honey is where it is at.

    Mixing the butter

    The butter, honey and cinnamon is mixed together with a stand mixer or with a hand mixer. It is best if the butter is softened first before trying to mix the ingredients together.

    The ingredients will be mixed together than it can be served immediately or it can be placed in the fridge for at least an hour so it will chill.

    Storage

    Place the butter in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to two weeks. Use when desired.

    FAQ

    Can I use margarine for this recipe?

    I do not recommend using margarine for this recipe.

    Can I use brown sugar instead of honey?

    Honey is preferred for this recipe.

    Can I double the recipe for the Cinnamon Honey Butter?

    Yes you can! It doubles easily!
