This Christmas bread needs to be baked at 350 degrees for 35-45 minutes or until a toothpick tests clean when inserted in the middle and removed.

metal loaf pan with bread batter in it.

    Metal pan verses glass pan

Which is better, a metal pan or glass pan? A metal pan will retain heat better and allow the recipe to cook faster. While a glass pan may take longer because it doesn't heat quite like a metal pan does. The glass pan is hot, of course, but the way it retains heat is different. The time of baking with vary based on what loaf pan you use.

    Tip

When the bread is done set the loaf pan on a cooling rack for 10 minutes. Then, running a butter knife around the edges, loosen the bread from the pan. Carefully turn the pan over to place the bread on the cooling rack. If you turn it out too early, the bread may fall apart. If you turn it out too late, the bread may stick to the pan. 10 minutes seems to do the trick!
