When it is 90 degrees outside, what is a better way to cool off than with a slush? What is even better is an Easy Cranberry Slush you can make at home with very little effort. It also helps it is packed full of flavor. This is a non-alcoholic slush recipe so everyone can (and will!) enjoy it.

The best way to describe this recipe is a combination of a popsicle and punch recipe. The combination of a flavored ice, like tropical popsicles and a punch like Strawberry Lime Punch makes for a fun kid friendly treat.

      Ingredients

      • cranberry juice - 100% juice
      • pineapple juice - 100% juice
      • orange juice - pulp free
      • lemon-lime soda - we used 7-Up
      • black cherry jello - can also use strawberry
      • water
      slush ingredients.

The mix of cherry, pineapple, orange juice and 7-UP blend perfectly with the cranberry to make a great tasting and delicious ice slush treat.

Can I use other flavors or add more or less of my favorite?

Yes, you can! Raspberry Jell-O would be great in this as would strawberry. If you would rather use more orange juice but less pineapple juice, go for it! It is one of those recipes that can be changed as you desire for your tastes. As long as the total liquid amounts stay the same, the flavors can vary.

Can this be in a punch bowl?

You can just eat this ice as is or you can pour a little 7-UP over the top and drink it with a straw or eat it with a spoon. You could also take the frozen cranberry slush, thaw it slightly then put it in a punch bowl with 7-UP or ginger ale.

      Tips

      • Mix all the ingredients in a large container or bowl. I would recommend just using the container you are going to freeze it in.
      • Freeze for a long time. It takes about 24 hours for full slush, though if you want it a little softer, check on it through out the day for your desired slush consistency.

This recipe is great in the summer to cool off but also would be great for parties and gatherings and of course a Christmas time punch. Delicious!
