Equipment

1 loaf pan
1 mixing bowl

Ingredients

1 egg
¾ cup sugar
1 cup milk
¼ cup vegetable oil
1 teaspoon vanilla
2 ½ cups all purpose flour
1 teaspoon salt
2 teaspoon baking powder
½ cup chocolate chips semi sweet or milk chocolate
½ cup Christmas sprinkles

For The Frosting

2 tablespoons margarine melted
2 tablespoons cold water
1 cup powdered sugar

Instructions

Preheat oven to 350℉ and spray one 9 inch loaf pan.
In a large mixing bowl, mix together egg and sugar.
Stir in milk, oil and vanilla.
Stir in flour, salt and baking powder.
Fold in chocolate chips and Christmas sprinkles.
Bake for 35-45 minutes or until toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
Remove from oven and let sit on cooling rack for 10 minutes.
Loosen sides with a butter knife and turn out on a cooling rack to cool completely.
While the bread is finished cooling, whisk together margarine, water and powdered sugar. When bread has cooled completely, pour frosting on top of the Christmas bread. Top with more sprinkles, if desired.
Serve.

Notes

White chocolate chips can be used.
If smaller loafs are desired, this recipe can be divided into two loaf pans.
