Sometimes, Simple M&M Cookies are all you need. A Soft and delicious cookie that is only minutes away from being in the oven. It's a great addition to any Christmas cookie tray!

Stack of cookies on a cookie tray with red and green M&M's in them.

We are all in the Christmas spirit over here. I don't know about you, but the weather is FRIGID in our neck of the woods. When the weather was in the 50's, it was hard to realize Christmas was a'coming. We get it now.

There is, to me, no greater dessert then the cookie (especially these Simple M&M Cookies!). I enjoy all types and brands. All shapes and sizes. All makes and models. Cookies are easy to make and you don't feel so guilty eating two or three. I mean, it isn't like you are eating two or three pieces of pie, right?!?

Just say right and take a bite of another cookie...

    Instructions

When is the last time you bit into a warm cookie that had M&M'S in them? The M&M'S hold their shape in the oven so the chocolate is a little melty yet the outside is still crunchy. Delicious!

If you are looking for cookies to add to your Christmas cookie tray, try Cookies and Cream Cookies or White Velvet Cookies (in addition to the Simple M&M Cookies, of course). Or you could add the easy homemade candy Chocolate Swirl Peppermint Bark.

To make, mix together the softened butter, sugars and egg.

Soften butter or melt it? This Soften Butter or Melt it article may help.

Then add the flour, baking soda and salt. Mix well.

What kind of M&M's should I use?

Bag of red and green Christmas M&M's.

You can find Christmas M&M's at Walmart or most grocery stores. Certainly, regular M&M's work as well and if you really want to, you can pull out whatever colors you want to use out of the regular bag.

    It all works.

When the dough is mixed together, you have a choice. You can mix the M&M's in the dough or you can place them individually on top of the rolled cookie dough.

It's preference. It looks more colorful by placing the M&M's on top of the cookie.

Then bake and enjoy. Simple recipe and easy to make. Delicious as well.
