Ingredients
- ground beef
- ketchup
- mustard
- pickle juice - dill pickle juice
- bacon bits - can use cooked and crumbled bacon
- cheddar cheese - can use a mixture of Colby Jack
- dried onion
- salt/pepper
These ingredients are just what you would use for your favorite cheeseburger on the grill, but you can make this anytime, no warm weather needed!
Pickle juice
The pickle juice adds the flavor, without needed the pickles for the pickier eaters in your family. The pickle juice gets poured into the ground beef mixture while it is cooking so the flavors blend perfectly.

Variations
- Chopped onions can be cooked with the ground beef.
- A smokey cheese can be used in place of the cheddar.
- If you prefer bread and butter pickles, you can use that.
- Liquid Smoke is excellent in this for a touch of smokey flavor.
FAQ
Leftovers can be placed in an airtight container and kept in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
I don't recommend it. I feel prepared mustard adds a better flavor to the Cheeseburger BBQ sandwiches.
Serve the BBQ on toasted bread, over rice or even over noodles!

Cheeseburger BBQ

Ingredients
- 2 lb ground beef
- 1 cup ketchup
- ½ cup prepared mustard
- ⅓ cup dill pickle juice
- 3 tablespoons bacon bits
- 1 cup cheddar cheese shredded
- 2 teaspoon dried onion
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 2 teaspoon black pepper
Instructions
- Fry up the ground beef, dried onions, salt and pepper until no longer pink.
- Stir in the ketchup, mustard, pickle juice, bacon bits. Simmer over low heat, stirring occasionally for 10 minutes.
- Stir in cheese and remove from heat.
- Serve with toasted buns, over rice or over noodles.
Notes
- You can use bread and butter pickle juice if preferred.
- Real bacon that has been cooked and crumbled can be used in place of the bacon bits.
- 1 teaspoon of Liquid Smoke can be used for a smokey flavor if desired.
