Pizza without the crust. Pizza with toppings you love. The kids love these Pizza Burger Sandwiches With Pepperoni probably because we don’t eat it that often.
Hamburger is expensive, especially when you are feeding a family of six.
However, when you can get hamburger on sale, these delicious sandwiches are a treat for the family and to the taste buds.
The best part?? You can put anything you want in to the mix. You will want to add pizza sauce, of course, but if you are a meat lover’s pizza kind of person, add extra sausage or ham. Do you like veggies? Don’t forget the green peppers or mushrooms.
As for us, I typically add pepperoni to the hamburger. I would like green peppers, red peppers, mushrooms, but, alas, my family would not.

Pizza Burger Sandwiches With Pepperoni
If you want to cook this pizza burger on the stove top, simply brown the hamburger, add the other toppings you want then add the pizza sauce. Cook on medium heat. If you want to cook in a crock pot and it is just for your family, I would cook it in a small crock pot like this one. It is perfect for meals such as this, or to cook the meat for a beef and noodles dish. If you are cooking for a crowd, of course, use a bigger one.

Be sure to toast the buns before you put the meat on them. It will taste fine either way, but we find the sandwiches are firmer and has a nice crunch with the toasted bun.
Pizza Burger Sandwiches With Pepperoni for the Big Game, family meal or just because! Delicious toppings on a toasted bun.
- 2 lbs hamburger
- 1 jar pizza sauce approx 2 cups
- 15 pepperoni slices
- Mozzerella cheese optional
- mushrooms optional
- green peppers optional
- salt, pepper to taste
Cook hamburger until no longer pink in a large frying pan
Add toppings such as pepperoni or mushrooms. Add pizza sauce and stir
Cook on medium heat until heated through (or add all ingredients including cooked hamburger to a crock pot and heat on low for 4-5 hours)
Slice buns and toast them in oven at 400* until lightly brown, about 5 minutes. You can add Mozzarella cheese to the toasted side of the buns and bake for 5 more minutes or until cheese is melted
Put pizza burger mixture on buns and serve
