Simple 3 ingredient French Vanilla Dip is great for fruit or graham crackers. It is a thicker dip that would be great for parties or company. Pudding, cream cheese and orange juice come together for a splash of flavor that will be appreciate by all. So easy and good!

French Vanilla Dip is great with fresh fruit, crackers or even chocolate!

Summertime is a great time for fresh fruit. With fresh fruit, comes a need for a dip to go with it.

French Vanilla Dip is easy to make and only has 3 ingredients.

What is in French Vanilla Dip?

There is cream cheese, orange juice and french vanilla pudding. That is it. So simple and so delicious.

    Cream cheese in a bowl

You will want to make sure the cream cheese is softened before you start mixing the ingredients. You can do this by letting it sit on the counter for 15 minutes before you start making the dip or you can put it on a microwave safe plate and microwave it for 30 seconds.

You don't want it melted, just softened.

I also recommend using Philadelphia Cream Cheese. Generic cream cheese, I feel doesn't mix as smoothly and it doesn't have that zing of taste that Philly does.

Mixing the cream cheese and pudding

With this cream cheese dip, you don't mix the pudding up according to package directions. You leave the pudding mix dry and mix it into the cream cheese.

The pudding mix will thicken the cream cheese so in order for it mix well you will have to add a little orange juice at a time to the mix.

French Vanilla Dip with grapes and graham crackers.

Mix the cream cheese in a medium bowl with the pudding, a little at a time. While mixing (I would use a hand mixer), add the orange juice about 1 tablespoon at a time to help keep the cream cheese and pudding mix easy to mix.

The result is a creamy, thicker dip that holds onto any fresh fruit like strawberries or grapes perfectly. Can you imagine this dip on a tray surrounded by fruit, animal crackers and graham crackers?

    FAQ

How do I store this fruit dip?

You will want to cover this dip with plastic wrap or place in an airtight container with a lid. This dip will last up to 3 days in the refrigerator.

Can I use regular vanilla pudding instead of French vanilla?

Yes you can, but the flavor won't be as strong as the French vanilla. It will still taste good though.

Would fruit be better to dip or crackers?

They are both great but strawberries really set this dip apart.

Question...When you say add pudding to cream cheese do you mean pudding mix or premade pudding?

I mean pudding mix. I will be sure to clarify that in the recipe. Thanks for asking!
