Apple cider is a classic fall flavor, wouldn't you say? Do you have apple orchard memories? I do. Where I would go, there would be two barrels of cider in a wall and the first thing we would do is get our little {free} cup of cider.
Apple cider and fall just go together. Then, when you can incorporate apple cider with a dessert like Rice Krispie treats the Crispy Apple Cider Treats are born. Your family will thank you.
When you make this great fall dessert, you will make them like a regular Rice Krispie Treat, except you will add a hot apple cider packet to the marshmallow/butter mixture. Yes, that is it.
I found the apple cider mixture by the hot cocoa packets at the store. We always have some around because we all enjoy it on a cold day.

The drizzle of caramel on top is certainly not required, but if you have caramel in your pantry, you might as well. I, of course, have caramel in the pantry because who wouldn't have caramel in their pantry? It's fall, ya'll. ;-)
