Good things can come from leftovers.
Some people like leftovers. My husband loves it when I make extra and then he has some for lunch the next day. I like it because they get eaten up and the leftovers don’t turn into a green furry mess. Not that it has ever happened in my fridge.
Why Pizza Burgers With Mozzarella Cheese
We actually had gotten these hamburger patties from a church potluck. Since my hubby stayed to help clean up, they handed him a bag of leftover grilled hamburgers. Many hands make light work, you know. And, apparently, extra hamburgers. ;-)
Now, to be truthful, I kind of messed up. My husband and Ryan each took a hamburger in their lunch that day. I saw the leftovers that afternoon and thought of making the pizza burgers with mozzarella cheese.
They loved the pizza burgers however, they were kind of disappointed they wouldn’t have hamburgers for lunch the next day. Sorry guys. All was forgiven because they did like the pizza burgers, but was told to make sure and buy more hamburgers. Note to self: buy hamburgers.
Simply take the already cooked hamburgers and place in a deep skillet. I like this one from Rachael Ray. Pour one jar pizza sauce on top and let cook for about 10 minutes on medium low heat. Turn burner to low and sprinkle mozzarella cheese on top. Let cheese melt and enjoy.
Easy to make and only takes a few minutes. Delicious and kid friendly too.
