Melting the ingredients
The ingredients (besides the cornflakes) are added to a bowl and microwaved until melted.

It is important to melt the ingredients in small bursts. Such as 45 seconds to start, then another 25 seconds, etc. The mixture will need to be stirred between each melting.

Setting up the Cornflake Candy
The candy needs to set up on parchment paper or waxed paper for about 30 minutes to harden, after you form the mixture into balls. The candy can be placed in the refrigerator to set up or on the counter will work too. Make sure the candy is not in direct sunlight.

Cornflake Candy

- parchment paper or waxed paper
Ingredients
- 4 cups cornflakes
- ¼ cup marshmallow cream
- 12 oz butterscotch chips
- ½ cup creamy peanut butter
Instructions
- In a medium microwave safe bowl, add butterscotch chips, peanut butter and marshmallow cream. Melt for 45 seconds, then stir.
- Melt again for 25 seconds, if necessary for all to be melted together. Stir well. Add more time if necessary.
- Add cornflakes to a large bowl. Pour peanut butter mixture over top of the cornflakes.
- Mix well until cornflakes are coated.
- Using a scoop or a spoon, scoop cornflake candy out onto parchment or wax paper and let harden. If desired, sprinkle Christmas sprinkles on top of candy after you place on paper.
- After hardened, serve.
