Do you enjoy the flavors of orange and vanilla? I do. I made an Orange Vanilla Frosty that incorporates all of those yummy flavors.

Well, with summer coming up, I thought: how about homemade orange creamsicle popsicles? Great for the kids and deliciously homemade.

    Ingredients

3 simple ingredients. Orange vanilla ice cream, sweet cream coffee creamer and orange juice. That is it. These homemade popsicles are so simple.

Do I need a blender to make these popsicles?

No, you don't. However, it would be helpful to mix the ingredients completely. I do recommend a blender like this or even a Magic Bullet like this.

You can just put the ingredients in a bowl and mix or even use a hand mixer to make sure everything is blended well. Of course, a bowl, wooden spoon and elbow grease work great too!

    Types of popsicle molds

I have tried various types of popsicle molds in my day from plastic molds to the old fashioned paper cups.

My personal favorite is the silicon mold. When going to pop the popsicles out of the mold, the silicon mold moves easily so the popsicle comes out whole easier than other kinds. The popsicle can also be pushed out from the bottom which helps a lot with removing a popsicle!

    Popsicle sticks

These types of molds comes with tops already with them. I don't like to use them, I like to use regular popsicle sticks.

The secret to keeping the sticks upright, is to let the popsicles freeze for about 25 minutes, then put the popsicle sticks in the in the orange creamsicle mixture. The mixture will be frozen just enough to help the popsicle sticks stay upright, but not frozen enough to ruin the popsicle.

The kids loved these Orange Creamsicle Popsicles and they will be a hit this summer. I was already told to make them a lot. Simple. Orange flavorful. Delicious.
