Yum.
Really, that is the only word for this cinnamon peach ice cream topping. Quite honestly, I want to reach through the screen and eat this. And I already had some. I want it again. It was so good! It was that good.
I had mentioned to you before about our abundance of peaches. I really didn't have time to put any away, but I ordered them, they were there and they couldn't go to waste. One of the things I made with the peaches is Peach Butter. The beauty of the peach butter is eating it while it is cooking. :-)
When you make peach butter, it sits in the crock pot for 6-8 hours. Imagine your kitchen smelling like peaches, cinnamon, nutmeg and ginger for 6-8 hours. How can a family resist?
Now, if I'm being honest, sometimes the cooked peaches don't make it to peach butter. I mean, the smell alone will keep your family coming back into the kitchen. So, while we are ice cream fans around here, I thought, what if we put the unmixed peach butter on ice cream?
Yes, it was a hit.
The warm peaches drizzle down the cold ice cream. Then the ice cream melts and you have that winning combination of warm and cold in your dessert. Like apple pie a la mode. I think I need some that right now as well. Of course, that involves cinnamon too. I am starting to see a pattern here. Are you?? ;-)
