Oatmeal Cookie Dough Brownies - Gooey brownie topped with oatmeal cookie dough. Delicious dessert recipe you will love.
I could really end the post right with these words: Oatmeal Cookie Dough Brownies. What else is there to say? Gooey brownies (from a box so it's easy) topped with oatmeal cookie dough (eggless so enjoy all you want) made with love.
Well, maybe not made with love. I didn't really make it with the family in mind. I made it because it sounded good to me. Shh... don't tell them. ;-)
I make a chocolate chip cookie dough brownie that is extremely good and this recipe is like that. However, I thought the oatmeal would add a new twist to the recipe and it would involve less flour. I also made this dessert recipe so my "maker" would help me make something.
Caleb loves to help "make" in the kitchen and the kids were at school so what better time. Having him help me can be a challenge when flour goes flying out of the bowl or more chocolate chips get eaten than I would want.
It's all good though. He loves it and he is learning so much.
Boxed VS Homemade Brownies
What is great is you can use a brownie mix with this recipe. You can certainly use a homemade brownie recipe like this one. I have used both and honestly, it is whatever I have time for.
Can I add chocolate chips to the brownie mix as well as the topping?
Sure! Add as many as you would like! You can even add nuts such as walnuts to the mix if you are a nut fan in brownies. I, to my husband's sadness, am not a walnut fan in brownies. But I know many people like them.
Do I have to bake the topping of Oatmeal Cookie Dough Brownies?
No! You do not have to bake the topping of the cookie dough brownies. The brownies do need to be baked, but the topping is edible without baking. There is no eggs in the dough so no worries. :-)
Enjoy this easy and delicious dessert recipe. Oatmeal Cookie Dough Brownies are simple and delicious. Great family favorite.
