Ingredients

cup
margarine
softened
1
egg
½
cup
sugar
½
teaspoon
vanilla

cup
all purpose flour

teaspoon
baking powder
For The Frosting
1
cup
powdered sugar
8
oz
cream cheese
softened
1
teaspoon
vanilla
3
teaspoon
milk
Instructions
Preheat the oven to 350°.
Cream together margarine, egg, sugar and vanilla in a large mixing bowl.
Stir in the baking powder.
Add the flour, 1 cup at a time until the flour is incorporated well.
Place the sugar cookie dough on a lightly floured countertop.
Roll out dough and cut out using star or flag cookie cutters.
Place cut out cookie dough on an ungreased cookie sheet.
Bake for 8-10 minutes or until cookies are firm and turning a very light golden brown.
For The Frosting
Meanwhile, blend the softened cream cheese and powdered sugar using a hand mixer.
Mix in the vanilla and milk.
After cookies have cooled, spread or pipe the frosting on the cookies and sprinkle with sprinkles.
Serve.
Notes
Take care when blending the cream cheese and powdered sugar, the powdered sugar could go flying.
If needed when making the frosting, add more powdered sugar or milk depending on how thick you want the frosting.
