Mix together flour, baking powder, sugar and salt in a medium sized bowl
Stir in the softened vanilla ice cream and mix well
Pour in the greased loaf pan and spread evenly
Sprinkle on the chocolate chips
Bake for 22-27 minutes or until top is firm
Let cool for 15 minutes then turn carefully out of the pan, loosening the sides with a knife
Slice and serve

Notes
Before you start the recipe, let the 3 cups of vanilla ice cream sit on the counter for about 20 minutes to soften. If you find the bread batter is rather dry, you can add ¼ cup of milk to the batter.
