Ingredients

cup
quick oats
½
cup
whole wheat flour
½
cup
brown sugar
1
Tablespoon
salt

Tablespoon
melted butter
2
cups
boiling water
5
cups
unbleached flour

pkg
dry active yeast
Instructions
Dissolve 1 pkg yeast in ½ cup warm water. Set aside
Mix together oats, whole wheat flour, sugar, salt, butter in a large mixing bowl
Add boiling water. When batter has cooled to lukewarm add yeast mixture. Stir
Stir in 5 cups of flour
Turn out on floured board and knead for 6-7 minutes
Place in greased bowl and cover and let rise until double in size, about an hour
Punch down and divide in two pieces. Place in 2 greased loaf pans
Let rise again will oven is preheating to 350*
Bake for 30-40 minutes or until golden brown. Tip: tap the top... does the bread sound hollow? If so, it is done
