Crock Pot Hot Fruit Salad
Delicious fruit salad recipe, made in the crock pot for a warm and flavorful treat during the cold months of the year.

dark sweet cherries
canned

canned, in own juice

cinnamon

honey

Instructions
Drain ½ the juices from the canned fruit. I just use the lid of the canned fruit and drain about half of the liquid out.
Add fruit to the crock pot.
Add cinnamon, butter and honey. No need to stir.
Cook on low for 4 hours, stirring after 2 hours.
Serve while warm in heat proof bowls or cups. Can be served with ice cream on top or plain.

Notes
You can use brown sugar in place of the honey if desired. Please note the sugar intake will be different if you do.
In addition to cinnamon, you can also add ¼ teaspoon of cloves and nutmeg if desired.
