Delicious two ingredient peach slushie for a summertime kid friendly recipe. My kids LOVED it! It was easy to make and I loved it because it was a healthy alternative to chips or candy.
As some of you may know, I have cut dairy from my diet to help my allergies and asthma. (You can read more about it here.) Whenever possible, I replace dairy products with almond milk. Which, of course, adds a little different flavor to the recipe it is added to.
And it is delicious!
I always buy the almond milk with the vanilla flavoring. It probably has a little more sugar than the plain almond milk, but I like the extra kick to it. When added to the two ingredient peach slushie, you get a mix of vanilla, almond and peach. Um, yum.

In case you don’t freeze peaches in the summertime like I do, you can use canned peaches in 100% juice for this recipe. Simply freeze the peaches in a storage bag then pull out when time to use. We buy a couple of bushels of peaches in the summertime from a local farmer who drives up to Michigan to get them. They are always so delicious. I sometimes can them, freeze them or make yummy desserts with them. (And peach muffins and peach bread!) When making this summertime recipe for the kids, I used my food processor. You can certainly use a blender as well, though I must say I use my food processor for many, many recipes. (Think graham cracker crust.) 🙂
Take the frozen peaches and place in the food processor and pulse a couple of times. Then run the food processor for about a minute or until the peaches start to break up. Add in the almond milk and pulse. Voila!
What you have is a slushie your children will love in the summertime heat and you will love because it is easy and delicious!

- 3 cups peaches frozen
- 1 cup almond milk (or regular milk)
Take the frozen peaches and add to the food processor or blender
Blend until peaches start to break up
Add almond milk and blend well
Pour into bowls and serve immediately or place in freezer to harden the peach slushie. You can serve after four hours.
