Well, this week we have quite a few church commitments, two cross country meets, a cross country meal to help make, a school open house, a FCA kickoff, a Bible Study, a doctor’s appointment and a houseful of people on Saturday for Cade’s birthday party. Not to mention normal activities such as piano, school, home school and keeping the house afloat. And blogging.
Don’t worry, I got this.
My husband and I keep saying we just have to get through this week. That isn’t true, we actually have to get through the middle of October. This week is just over the top crazy. My calendar is usually in our bedroom, however I just moved it to the kitchen island for easy reference. There is a great chance I will forget something or a child somewhere.
The menu plan for this week is easy, however, I am trying some meals I haven’t before. I enjoy variety and with our crazy schedule, variety hasn’t been on the top of the list. Something that may surprise you since you know how much I enjoy making birthday cakes, I’m not making a cake for Cade’s party. He doesn’t want one. He wants s’mores instead. Whenever we have s’mores, he is only allowed one. He gets two for his party. You have no idea how excited he is. :-)
Blueberry muffins, cereal, fruit, toast, oatmeal
PBJ’s, fruit, apple sandwiches, grilled cheese, carrots, pretzels, veggie sticks
Ravioli Casserole (I really hope to have a better picture for you after today. :-) That picture does not do this yummy casserole justice!), salad, homemade bread
Pulled BBQ Chicken Sandwiches (crock pot), potatoes (crock pot), 3 ingredient fruit salad
Pancakes, eggs, tater tots, fruit
Chicken Tetrazzini, cooked veggies, homemade bread
*This is the night I have to bring bread and fruit to the Cross Country Dinner. I will probably make Crystal’s Butterhorn recipe. I have made it many, many, many times (for years now!) and it is always a hit. I do, however, use my bread machine. :-)
Leftovers (We are scattered around for this night. I imagine it will be a leftover or Subway sandwiches night!)
Keeping it totally real…there is no way I am making anything for the freezer this week. I don’t think I have time to spare. Next week. :-)
