The wedding season is upon us! Summer is the unofficial season of weddings and it is rapidly approaching. We love to give gifts to any newlywed couple whether it is at her wedding shower (or his!) or for their wedding gift.
I (as I am sure you can guess) love to give kitchen items for showers and weddings. After all, I have some of the same cookbooks, pots and pans, silverware and yes, even measuring cups which was given to me when my hubby and I got married. Kitchen items last and are obviously very important to have.
Every kitchen is different and every couple is different so what kind of items are great for newlyweds just starting out? I put together a list of Kitchen Must-Haves For Any Newlywed.
Whether you are the one getting married and want to fill out a registry (you can Create an Amazon Wedding Registry here)
or you are the one buying a gift, this list will help you get started.
Kitchen Must Haves For Any Newlywed
:: Cuisinart Food Processor – I use my food processor a lot for chopping, mixing and making crumbs. It is a handy tool to have, especially if your hubby likes onions and tomatoes in food, only if they are chopped fine. ;-)
:: Pyrex Dishes and Storage Containers – There will always be leftovers, ya know? I still have my Pyrex storage containers my mother in law got us many, many years ago.
:: Cleaning Supplies – Really and truly. I once gave a laundry basket of household items such as dish washing soap, Windex and laundry detergent. Those are things the newlyweds will have to buy anyway so why not start them off with a basket full of goodies. **The same goes for a basket of ketchup, mustard, napkins, hot sauce and other food items!!**
:: Cookie Sheets and Cake Pans – I have one cake pan left from almost 19 years ago. The rest of them I finally said goodbye to not that long ago. Help them bake delicious cookies (like Gooey Strawberry Cookies) and wonderful cakes (Applesauce Raisin Cake).
:: Rachael Ray Cookware – My most loved set of pans. I use them and use them and use them. I speak very highly of this set of cookware because they are quality and wear well. Highly recommend them! (The orange colors are quite fun as well!) They could easily make this 3 Ingredient Freezer Friendly Burritos with the large pans.
:: Junk Drawer Busters – Okay, we all have a junk drawer right? Even when we try to get rid of the junk drawer we have a junk drawer. How about something to make the junk drawer less junky? :-)
:: Gift Card – To Amazon, Walmart, Kroger’s or anywhere they can stock their kitchen.
