With Valentine’s Day fast approaching, do you have plans with your spouse or family? My very eager daughter, is excited to plan this year’s menu and help me make it.
I, on the other hand, am a little reluctant to this weekend, because Ryan is heading out of state with his youth group for a ski trip. For the first time. Without me. He’s going to do great. I am going to think about him a lot. ;-)
I hope to be able to spend a little alone time with my husband of 17 (almost 18!) years. I would imagine we will put the kids to bed and watch a movie on Netflix. Being married for almost 18 years is a rarity these days. Marriage isn’t always easy. It takes work, dedication and lots of forgiveness and love. Love also needs to be patient and kind. In 1 Corinthians 13:1-13, Paul writes how love is patient, kind. It does not envy or boast.
I love my husband however I know I can’t say I am always patient or kind. I fail, but I know my husband forgives me, as I do him.
I made up this free printable as a reminder to all of us. Whether we need a reminder to be patient and kind to our spouses, to our children or to the neighbor down the road, this printable should help us in our daily task of kindness.
