She is like the merchant ships, she brings her food from afar.
She knows what she is doing. She seizes opportunities and takes them. She is aware of the world and what is needed to be done to provide for her family.
I was just going to write how I am not like that at all. Not that I don't know what I am doing or I don't provide for my family but this seems almost business savvy. I never considered myself business savvy. I'm mom savvy. Sometimes. ;-)
However, as I am getting older and hopefully a little wiser, I am changing. I am trying new ventures (like this blog) and am attempting to come out of my shell in various areas in my life. I always did what I could for my family but now I am breaking free of my mold and stretching myself more. I never really thought of it, even after hearing this passage many, many times, but I guess I am working on verse 14 in my life. (I just sat here and thought on that for a few minutes.) I don't know about you, but to step out of my comfort zone is NOT something I do often (or well!). Yet, with this blog adventure, I am stepping out of my zone almost daily. Of course, I am well aware back when Proverbs was written, they were not talking about blogs! However, to apply it to my life and my current situation, there is a parallel. I will probably be thinking on this the rest of the day. Not a bad thing to be dwelling on scripture! :-)
What about you? Are you growing and changing in a certain area in your life?
