Proverbs 31:12-She does him good and not evil all the days of her life.
Do you wake up in the morning and think about how you can help your husband today?
Do you grumble to your friends about him? Do NOT talk badly about your husband to other woman. Do NOT!
Do you insist it should be your way without discussing it with him?
Is there something you can do to show respect to him? Case in point: As I was trying to write this post, there was a lively Disney discussion going on at my house. My hubby then wanted me to listen to a song he found on YouTube that sounded a lot like Lion King. (Seriously, that man can find YouTube videos like no other!) :-) Anyway, I am trying to get this post up with a phone playing a video beside it. As I was typing “showing respect”, I sighed, stopped typing and listened to the song. It might have been little, but I wanted to show I cared about something that meant a lot to him.
Can you stop doing something that he has asked you to?
Can you buy his favorite item at the store, no matter the cost, just to show appreciation to him?
Do you roll your eyes when you disagree with him, even when he isn’t looking? Still disrespectful, ladies!
Can he trust you to spend the family’s money wisely?
Have you ever read marriage books or Bible studies? A lot of great information you can glean from others!
Do you show your husband HE is important in your life?
These questions are certainly not exclusive, but they are a good start. Think about them and try to implement them throughout your week. See how your marriage, attitude and his attitude can change.
Do you have any tips for doing good and not evil?
