Pizza Burger With Mozzarella Cheese is such a kid friendly/family friendly/company friendly recipe. Whenever I make this pizza burger recipe, seriously, my children cheer. I don’t make it very often because hamburger is so expensive right now. I can use 1 1/2 lbs-2 lbs of ground beef when I make this meal. (Especially if I want to make sure there are leftovers for lunches the next day.
The reason why pizza burger with mozzarella cheese is such a hit is because (besides having mozzarella cheese in the title), it is so versatile. You can put anything you like on your pizza in it. We typically put pepperoni in ours. In order to keep the family happy, I watch the vegetables I add to pizza or pizza burger. I do add the onion, garlic and green pepper in large chunks to the crock pot while it is cooking, then remove them before we eat it. That makes the family happy. They can taste the flavors yet not actually eat it. (We all win.) 🙂
This is a “put in crock pot and walk away” kind of meal so be sure to give it a try. This pizza burger is especially nice when you have hamburger already fried up and put in the freezer during your freezer cooking time. This pizza burger pairs really well with french fries, a salad and homemade rolls. Especially my homemade oatmeal bread, made into hamburger buns. Yum!
