Oh, the goodness of Peanut Butter Treats.
This is a golden oldie from my childhood. It brings back days of laughter, carefree childhood memories, and sticky fingers. This recipe is one my sister somehow acquired and it quickly became a favorite in our home. I introduced it to our children from the time they were young and it is often requested. It honestly doesn’t last more than a day or two. (Can’t blame just the children for this one. Ahem.) It is a great child friendly recipe because it takes FOUR ingredients. That’s it. You don’t even bake them. Is it healthy? No. Not at all. A little treat doesn’t hurt too much, does it? 😉
This is a great recipe to have your children help you make. With the limited ingredients, it comes together quickly. It also resembles peanut butter play dough so making this and then playing with it for a while is rather fun. Hand your child some pretzel sticks, chocolate chips and almonds and they can dress up their peanut butter treats. So much fun-perfect inside activity for those dreary rainy days.
