Christmas is a’coming. We just flipped the calendar and if you are like me, I like to buy ahead. Not because I am super organized, but because it helps to spread out the cost if we buy a little at a time. With four kids, we need all the money savings we can get. With all of this in mind, I thought I would put together a helpful list of must have kitchen gadgets for kids to help you start preparing for Christmas or birthdays. I am a firm believer in kitchen toys and kitchen learning so this is right up my alley.
:: Every child needs play food, would you agree? My children have played with the set we have multiple times. It is great for pretend play and learning nutrition. This set here is a best seller and comes with a variety of items for only $17.49. It is also Prime eligible. You could also try this Melissa and Doug 4 food group set.

:: Want to know a toy I am grateful for? A play kitchen set. We have had three different ones throughout the years. One was given to us, one was a Disney Princess kitchen set and one was just an average kitchen set. My children have played and played with them and it is one of the toys I recommend the most.
You can spend as little or as much as you want on these sets. They don’t have to be fancy but make sure they have all the essentials: stove top, oven, refrigerator, etc… I can’t tell you the number of meals that have been made for me throughout the years. By the way, my boys loved playing with the kitchen set as much as my girls. 🙂
:: Keep them clean. Kids aprons are fun and handy too. Each child loves to wear their own aprons. My daughter went through a phase where it was the best thing in the world to wear an apron. Gotta love it.
This apron even comes with measuring spoons and spatulas and whisks.
:: Every chef needs their own measuring spoons (if you don’t want to buy the whole apron!). These butterfly measuring spoons are cute for your little baker.
Only $5 on Amazon right now. Great stocking stuffer for Christmas!!
:: A great kid’s cookbook they can read themselves. This Mom and Me cookbook is a favorite with Cora. She loves the cookie recipes and we have made the cheesecake recipe as well. Only $10.14 and we have used it for years. Literally. Great pictures and wording in ways kids can understand easily. One of my favorites!
:: This is fun–an egg shape divider.
With your help, of course, your child could make some eggs up for the family in fun shapes. Think mother’s day. 😉
Did you get some ideas for the little baker or chef in your house? Do you have any of these must have kitchen gadgets for kids? Can you think of some more??
