M&M Cookies are the perfect cookie recipe. I’ve said it before, but it is worth repeating…
There is no such thing as a bad cookie.
There are cookies that are okay. There are cookies that are good. Then there are cookies that are “out of this world so wonderful I can’t stop eating after just one I can’t really have another can I sure I can no one will know” cookies.
These M&M Cookies are such a cookie.
I have been making these cookies for years. I have the recipe memorized and tweaked it over the years for perfection. We like soft cookies at our house. These are soft. We like sweet cookies at our house. These are sweet. The perfect cookie.
M&M Cookies Recipe:
- 1 cup soften butter
- ¾ cup brown sugar
- ¾ cup white sugar
- 1 egg
- 2¼ cup flour
- 1 tsp baking soda
- ½ tsp salt
- Preheat oven to 375*
- Mix the first four ingredients in a large bowl until well blended
- Add the flour, baking soda and salt
- Stir. Mix in the M&M's. (I never measure how much M&M's to put in...whatever strikes me that day.) I would guess about 1 to 1½ cup.
- Roll cookies in 1 inch balls and place on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake for 7 minutes or until lightly brown.
Okay, this is where the controversy comes in. We always slightly under bake these for a softer cookie. My hubby does not care for a over done cookie. Of course, he would just eat the batter all day, so that is where we are coming from. Bake until desired doneness. 😉
