It’s a Good day today.
Today is Good Friday the start of what Christians acknowledge as the greatest act of love ever given.
Christ died on the cross for my sin, your sin, our sin. We all sin. We all fall short of the glory of God. (Romans 3:23) Why would God send His Son to die on the cross for us? Pure love. Only love. Jesus paid the ultimate price for us so if we except His gift, we can live forever with Him in eternity.
Sounds fishy, doesn’t it?
I get it. I understand how this sounds. I understand why you would think this has to be made up, just a “fairy tale”. It is impossible. It is unbelievable.
But it is true. No one says Jesus never existed. He was on this earth. However, how do we know He is the Son of God? How can we believe?
The Bible holds the answers. The Bible holds the key to the truth. I saw a great quote the other day:
On Adam Cappa’s FB page
The Bible holds the key to peace, the key to life, the key to faith. But you have to read it. You can’t pick and choose which parts you like and discard the rest. God’s Word is for us to live by, to believe in and to trust. There has been nothing, yes nothing, in my life which this book doesn’t have the solution for or gives me the peace which only can come from trusting God is in control. Read the book of John starting with John 1:1. In the beginning was the Word and the Word was with God and the Word was God.
Today is the day Jesus died on the cross. Sunday is the day He rose from the grave. Up from the grave He arose. He gave us hope. Do you have questions? Do you believe? If you want to ask me questions, email me. Go to contact.
